The current situation:
За все 25 лет работы у площадки не было спонсоров или меценатов, а скромная коробочка по сбору пожертвований в одном из выставочных залов не может покрыть все затраты на аренду, коммунальные услуги и прочие расходы. Борей - это некоммерческая организация, а значит, извлечение прибыли не является целью деятельности проекта.
The gallery has not received any sponsorship during the 25 years of its work, and the collection box in one of the exhibition halls could not cover all the rental, communal and other expenses. Borey is a non-commercial and not for profit organization.
Сейчас
At the moment we are looking for interested parties who would help us renovate the exhibition space. The building company has provided us with an estimate of 980,000 roubles for the complete overhaul of the gallery and proposed to divide the project into two parts. The first stage will focus on the renovation of the walls and floors and this will cost 700,000 rubles.
Обращаемся не только к своим друзьям, но также к людям, просто небезразличным к судьбам художников Петербурга, которых Борей поддерживал невзирая ни на какие трудности. Борей считается самой демократичной площадкой, ведь не зря именно на его теле поселилось такое объединение художников как Parazit, которые на постоянной основе обосновались в коридоре галереи.
We would like to ask not only our friends, but also people who have an interest in the artists of St Petersburg for whom the Gallery has provided support for many years despite all the difficulties. Borey is considered one of the most democratic art platforms in the city and that is why it now houses an art union "Parazite" in one of the gallery"s corridors where artists hold exhibitions all year round.

The Borey Art Centre hosted numerous musical concerts of an impressive array of musicians and artists, including Andrei Makarevich, Yuri Shevchuk, Sergei Kurekhin, Boris Grebenschikov, Vyacheslav Butusov, the Night Snipers, Chizh and Umka.
В 1996-1999 в помещении Центра шел спектакль "Мрамор" - первая в истории написания постановка пьесы И. Бродского (режиссер Г. Дитятковский); Гран-при Рождественского фестиваля 1996, премия "Золотой софит" 1997)
Between 1996-1999 the Centre provided a space for a theatre performance The Marble, the first ever production of the play written by Joseph Brodsky (theatre director G Ditytkovsky, Christmas Art Festival Gran Prix, 1996, "Golden Sofit" Award, St Petersburg Highest Theatre Prize, 1997.)
На территории Арт-Центра существует киноклуб "Братья Люмьер", при киноклубе действует прокат фильмов и музыкальная раздача. По
воскресеньям работает изостудия и натурный классThe Art Centre also houses the Lumi`ere Brothers cinema club that lends films and musical CDs to the public. On Sunday the painting and life model classes are open to the public.

During the last 25 years the Borey Art Centre has provided

Замена покрытия стен. Чтобы художники по-прежнему могли крепить свои произведения к поверхности стены, без ограничения своей творческой фантазии и экспозиционной потребности.
A complete renovation of the walls so that artists could attach their works to the surface of the walls without limiting their artistic
fantasy and exhibition requirements;
Замена пола. Сейчас у нас лежит офисная линолеумная плитка, которая очень плохо очищается от клея, красок и остальных рабочих художественных материалов. Хотим создать такой пол, чтобы и с ним можно было работать, как с поверхностью для экспонирования.
A complete renovation of the floors. At the moment we have office linoleum tiles which are not very easy to clean from glue, paints and other art mediums. We would like to lay a floor that could be used as an exhibition surface itself;
Замена потолка, электрики и освещения. В августе 2016 года в галерее произошло короткое замыкание, и один из залов галереи на неделю остался без света. Всему виной старая проводка.
A complete renovation of the ceiling, the electrics and lighting.In August 2016 there was a short circuit in one of the exhibition halls and it had no lighting for one week. This happened because of the old wiring.
